Draft Whatever

FREE SNAKE DRAFT MAKER

Run a snake draft on anything.

Fantasy football figured out the format. We just stopped limiting it to football. Pick a topic, set the pool, and take turns building the best lineup. The order reverses every round, so nobody gets first pick twice.

Free. No credit card. Build it before you even sign up.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. STEP 1

    SET THE POOL

Paste a list of things to pick from, or leave it open and let people type anything. Choose how many rounds.

  2. STEP 2

    INVITE THE DRAFTERS

Add friends by username or email. Pick order is random, or set it yourself.

  3. STEP 3

    DRAFT IN TURN

Each pick passes to the next drafter, snaking back every round. Whoever is on the clock gets an email. There is no countdown. Real life does not cooperate.

The long version: how a draft works.

WHAT YOU GET

ANY TOPIC

Movies, albums, sandwiches, presidents, cereal mascots. If you can list it, you can draft it.

NO SCHEDULING

Nobody needs to be online at once. Picks happen whenever people get to them, and reminders keep it moving.

TRADES AND THEMES

Turn on trades for made picks and future slots. Give each round its own theme or its own list.

CROWN A WINNER

When the board is full, the crew votes on who drafted best. The bragging rights are permanent.

QUESTIONS

What is a snake draft?

A draft where the pick order reverses every round. With four drafters it goes 1, 2, 3, 4, then 4, 3, 2, 1. Whoever picks last in one round picks first in the next, so the order evens out.

Is it free?

Yes. Creating a draft, inviting friends, and drafting are all free. No credit card, no premium tier.

Does it have to be fantasy sports?

Nope. Most drafts here are about movies, music, food, and arguments that have no business being this organized. Sports lineups work great too.

Is there a pick timer?

No. Drafts here run on real life, not a countdown. Whoever is up gets an email, and a reminder if they sit on it.

Can people pick anything, or only from a list?

Your call. A list keeps it strategic and settles spelling arguments before they start. Open picks let people type anything, which is chaos, in a good way.

Can I start building before I sign up?

Yes. Set up the whole draft first. When you hit Create, you sign up and your draft comes back exactly as you left it.

SETTLE IT

It takes about a minute, and the argument has been going on for years.
