Every feature, fix, and frankly embarrassing bug we've shipped, newest first. Big days get a card. Small days get a bullet. Mistakes get owned.
NOVEMBER 2026
BIG RELEASE
TRIBAL COUNCIL
New game: Tribal Council. Vote one thing off the list every round until only the Sole Survivor is left.
Each round, one voter secretly holds an immunity idol that can save one item from the vote.
Ties get a revote between just the tied items. Tie again and a coin flip decides who goes home.
A council stuck for 30 days goes to Area 51, where the crew decides who stalled it.
Start one from the new free Elimination Vote maker, with ready-made lists to vote off.
New badges: Torch Bearer for your first Tribal Council, Keeper of the Flame for ten.
Fixed ballot tiles under More Like This counting rankers as options.
Tribal Councils now show the whole road to the Sole Survivor, round by round, before and during the game.
Finished Tribal Councils get a recap: fastest and slowest voters, who voted with the tribe, your council bestie, and everyone's votes.
Tribal Councils now count on the Speed Racers leaderboard.
Paste a list one item per line into a draft, bracket, or Tribal Council. Pipes still work too.
My Games' FINAL tab has a format dropdown, and finished games show when they ended.
Dropdowns across the site got a roomier arrow.
Picking an option on your ballot now clears the search, so you can type the next one right away.
Signup and login now have a quick bot check to keep fake accounts out.
OCTOBER 2026
Explore now opens with the top categories, each with its own page and a little pixel icon.
Games on Explore show up as easy-to-read tiles, like the homepage.
Fixed a stray space after some draft names in emails, and gave the comment ABOUT menu's arrow some room.
Your account button in the header now lines up with START GAME.
BIG RELEASE
CHAOS MODE
See, resend, or cancel email invites from a draft's edit page.
Chaos Mode: an optional round of pick stealing after the last pick. Protect one, steal one, and see who got away with it.
Every game now has one comments section at the bottom. Old pick comments moved there.
Fixed the My Games badge sometimes counting a turn that wasn't yours.
Tag a pick in your comment, or @mention a player to send them an email.
React to any pick with any emoji. Counts show like Slack, and the board is a lot calmer.
Free bracket maker, snake draft maker, and ranking poll pages, with ready-to-start templates for pizza toppings, Pixar movies, desert island albums, and more.
You can now build a whole game before you sign up. Hit Create, make an account, and it's all still there.
Think they got it wrong? Every finished game now has a REPLAY button that sets up the same game for your own crew.
PLAY AS BRACKET now brings the whole list along. Every pick keeps its seed, and everything nobody picked gets shuffled in below for a second chance.
Clicking PLAY AS BRACKET or REPLAY while logged out now picks up right where you left off after you sign in, instead of dumping you on the homepage.
The homepage now has a tiny arcade brawl. Watch a pizza and a ninja settle hexagons vs. octagons, forever.
Every finished game now opens with THE VERDICT: the answer, stated plainly. What went first, who won, what finished #1. No more squinting at a board.
Game links are readable now, like /drafts/best-tom-cruise-movies. Old links still work, they just take the scenic route.
Category pages finally show ballots, and open with the latest verdicts, so you can see who settled what at a glance.
Finished ballots now tell search engines what actually won, instead of listing the options in the order someone typed them. An honest mistake. A deeply embarrassing one.
The header is now one row. We tried two. It looked like a bunk bed.
Every game tile shows how many people are playing, so you know how many friendships are on the line.
The Release Log is here: every feature, fix, and embarrassing bug since launch, in one place. You're reading it.
Profile is now called Settings, because that's what it was the whole time.
Finished games now say FINAL instead of CLOSED. Closed is for restaurants.
Mutinied drafts get a red border on My Games. The shame is now color-coded.
My Games has a MY STATS button up top, for checking your record mid-gloat.
NEW LOOK
A WHOLE NEW LOOK
A brand new everything: a new homepage, a new header with live search, and a Start Game screen. We moved all the furniture. Please stop bumping into the couch.
A green bar under the header now lists everything waiting on you, one tap each. It knows. It always knows.
My Games got tabs, and How It Works finally explains brackets and ballots, only a few months after we launched them.
Long brackets now tuck away finished rounds as you scroll, so you can stop side-scrolling into the next zip code.
Images went on a diet. Pages load faster.
One invite flow for every game type, instead of three that behaved like distant cousins.
Drag to reorder lists on your phone. Your thumbs have been waiting for this.
Finished ballots show everyone's lists. Nowhere left to hide that ranking.
Auto-picks no longer count toward pick speed. You cannot cheat your way onto the Speed Racers board by being asleep.
Faster pages. Again. We have a problem, and the problem is speed.
Bracket voting pace: vote one quadrant at a time for maximum suspense, or a whole round at once for maximum chaos.
Click an entry to see exactly who voted for it. Anonymity was nice while it lasted.
Download a finished bracket's entries as a CSV. For the archivists. And the grudge-holders.
Random brackets show their entry list before they launch, so you can start being mad early.
Every Champions tab has its own shareable link. Send your ranking to the group chat and wait for the replies.
BIG RELEASE
AUTO-PICK
The Auto-Draft List: rank the picks you would be happy with, and when it's your turn, the draft grabs the first one still on the board. Your draft keeps moving while you sleep, shower, or pretend to listen in a meeting.
A guided, step-by-step draft setup, for first-time commissioners and anyone who has ever stared at a form and felt fear.
The Speed Racers: a new Champions tab ranking the fastest and slowest players. One of those lists is an honor. The other is an intervention.
Game descriptions keep the line breaks you typed. Your carefully formatted manifesto survives intact.
Ballots now count toward player scoreboards. Your stats got a little more honest. Sorry.
Spreadsheet uploads keep their accented letters. Crème brûlée is no longer "Crme brle," which frankly sounded like a sneeze.
Roster is now called Lineup, because we said so.
Invites still auto-join you even if you sign up with a slightly different email. We forgive the typo. Your friends might not.
Mutinied drafts now get a tribunal-style verdict and some appropriately angry mob art. Justice has never looked this pixelated.
BIG RELEASE
AREA 51 AND THE MUTINY
When a draft sits on the same pick for 30 days, it freezes and the crew votes on who is to blame: the commissioner or the drafter who vanished. Yes, it's called Area 51. No, it is not 51 days. We know. We've made our peace with it.
The loser gets a permanent mark in the new Hall of Shame. Forever. Like a tattoo, but for being slow.
Daily reminders for open mutiny votes, each one more dramatic than the last. By day five they read like a courtroom movie.
Champions got tabs, and finished drafts show the full pick board. Less mutiny, more accountability.
A new homepage: the games come first, the marketing comes never.
Voter and ranker lists are now alphabetical, ending months of nobody noticing they weren't.
SEPTEMBER 2026
We checked every email we send to make sure its big button actually goes somewhere. Some of them were going places. Spiritually.
Commissioners now hear about it when someone joins through their invite. Power, but in notification form.
A nudge to start a group text when you set up a game. The trash talk was always going to happen. Now it has a home.
Signing up from an invite takes you straight to the game you were invited to, instead of dropping you on the homepage like a lost tourist.
Ballot reminder emails, so the last ranker gets nudged. And nudged. And nudged.
Reminders now keep coming weekly after the first week instead of giving up. We believe in you. Persistently.
Who's Your Ballot Bestie? Find out whose list matched yours, and whose list was clearly typed with oven mitts on.
Big pick-list uploads save properly now. Your 400-item spreadsheet of cereals has finally been accepted.
NEW GAME
BALLOTS ARE HERE
Everyone ranks their own top list from the same options. The points decide the group's official order. Everyone's private list stays secret until the end, when it becomes permanent public evidence.
Drag and drop to rank, plus a full recap when the ballot closes, so you can see exactly how far off everyone else was.
Drafts that are stuck for good can now be abandoned. This earns the commissioner the Badge of Shame. It does not come off.
Fixed a bug that was blocking welcome emails and invite auto-joins. For a few days, nobody was welcome. Not ideal, for a welcome email.
AUGUST 2026
Fixed a crash on bracket pages. The bracket was fine. It just needed a minute. We all do.
Positional draft fixes, and link previews on every page. Your group chat deserves pictures.
Bracket recaps got smarter: average vote times, tie handling, and who saw the winner coming. Now you can prove you called it. Insufferably.
Public player profiles: a scoreboard, badges, and every public game someone has played. Receipts, for the people.
Bracket email invites work now. They had been silently failing since launch. Every single one. If you never got invited, it wasn't personal. It was us. We are so sorry.
Draft pick reminders too. The nagging is now fully cross-platform.
The Quarterfinals and Final Four now vote as one big dramatic group. Like a season finale, but you have to do something.
Daily reminder emails for bracket votes you've been ignoring. Gentle at first. Only at first.
Faster bracket pages and a pile of polish. Shiny.
Play-in rounds: brackets now work with any number of entries. 37 things you love? Sure. We don't judge. (We judge a little.)
Play as Bracket: turn a finished draft into a bracket and relitigate the whole thing from scratch. Closure is overrated.
JULY 2026
Badges! Earn WEEKLING and WHAT'S WITH ALL THE BRACKET? Collect them all and achieve absolutely nothing in real life.
Housekeeping day. The code is now organized by game type. You will see nothing. We, however, can finally find things.
See who has voted in the current bracket round. You know who you are. Now so does everyone else.
The homepage splits drafts and brackets into their own sections, so they stop fighting.
Category pages: every movie, sports, and food argument on the site, sorted. A library, but louder.
Download a finished draft's picks as a CSV. Frame it. Laminate it. Bring it up at Thanksgiving.
Bracket quadrants now seed in the right order. Turns out "approximately the right order" is not a seeding strategy.
Early rounds vote one quadrant at a time, so the suspense lasts and so does the trash talk.
NEW GAME
BRACKETS ARE HERE
Throw in your entries and the group votes head to head, matchup by matchup, until one champion stands and everyone else files a formal complaint.
Every matchup waits for every vote. No timers. No mercy. No escape hatch. Just you, two things you love, and the knowledge that one of them is going home.
Brackets show up in the homepage feed and in search, so you can watch other people's friendships end too.
JUNE 2026
Draft pages refresh after you edit the settings, instead of gaslighting you with the old ones.
Pick lists can no longer be wiped mid-draft. That was a problem. It was a whole thing. It's over now.
An ON THE CLOCK banner on the homepage when it's your pick. The polite version of everyone yelling your name.
Download a draft's pick list, for your records, or your lawyer.
Open drafts now warn you before you take something already taken. We saved you from yourself. You're welcome.
Commissioners can cancel an email invite, for when you invite your boss by accident.
The homepage now tells you when something needs you. Like a mom, but with fewer follow-up questions.
Email invites now auto-join people the second they sign up. No more "how do I get in" texts. (You will still get those texts. But fewer.)
MAY 2026
The phone app now acts like an app: no surprise zooming, nothing hiding behind the notch. A low bar, cleared with confidence.
Tidying up under the hood. The animations got a little smoother. You are welcome, eyeballs.
Install Draft Whatever on your phone like a real app. It will sit right next to your banking app and judge it.
Emoji reactions fixed. 😂 had been crying for the wrong reasons.
Fixed invite emails that went missing. They are back. They have stories. We don't ask.
A heads-up when your pick list is shorter than the draft needs. Math: still undefeated.
New reaction: 🙈. For picks so bad you can't look directly at them.
The pick splash got some variety, because watching the same animation 400 times is how villains are made.
Vote cards now say which round and slot they're for. Context: we have heard of it.
Push notifications. Your phone now knows it's your turn before you do.
People who aren't in a draft can no longer vote on it. Democracy, but with a guest list.
A brand new arcade-style homepage. We found some extra pixels.
Positional roster drafts: fill specific slots and build a real lineup, like a fake general manager.
Badges in the nav when something needs you. The app now nags you so your friends do not have to.
Fixed emails that were quietly skipping people. If you felt left out in May, it was us, not them. (Mostly.)
Fixed a bug when picking for a specific slot. Your shortstop is now, at long last, a shortstop.
More tests. Fewer surprises. Surprises are for birthdays.
Fixed a login redirect that made your browser warn you that we might be impostors. We are not. We are just bad at redirects.
Faster pages. Less waiting, more gloating.
Duplicate a draft to run it back with the same setup. Revenge, now one click away.
A massive cleanup under the hood. If you noticed absolutely nothing, it was a total success. Please clap anyway.
Trades: swap picks and future slots with other drafters. Fleece your friends with a clear conscience.
The 404 page is now a playable Snake game. Getting lost has never been this fun, or this much of a time sink.
Signup and login are smoother. Fewer clicks between you and your poor decisions.
Set the draft order yourself, or let fate shuffle it and blame fate.
Picks now appear live for everyone. Your frantic refreshing has been officially made obsolete.
Better search results. Google may now know we exist.
Named lists and spreadsheet uploads for pick lists. Paste less. Draft more. Spreadsheet nerds, this one is for you (we see you).
Fixed a bug that could wipe a draft's participants. Yes, it was exactly as bad as it sounds. No, we will not be taking questions.
Invited players can see the private drafts they were invited to. Before this, they got a 404. Inviting someone to a party and then locking the door is a classic, but we have retired it.
Behind the scenes: an actual test suite. We were brave before. Now we are also careful.
Leaderboard ties are now handled fairly. Previously they were handled vibes-first.
Vote cards are clickable everywhere, not just in the one spot your thumb never goes.
Confirmation emails link to the right place. Bold choice, we know.
New reaction: 😂. For when someone takes a kicker in round two.
Share buttons and real link previews, so the group chat sees exactly what you are bragging about before you finish typing it.
Champions: an arcade high-score board for the best drafters on the site. Your name in lights. Okay, in pixels.
A /stats page, search, and private drafts, for the arguments you don't want the internet to see.
How It Works is live, for everyone who nodded along about "snake drafts" and has been quietly panicking since.
Themed rounds, and the Dynamic Duo badge.
Pick lists: the commissioner sets the menu, everyone else picks from it. Democracy, but with a dropdown.
Every draft gets a stats card, for people who like their arguments backed by numbers.
A knight now guards the login screen. Password resets also reset passwords now, a feature we are proud to announce on day two.
The pixel crew moved into the nav bar. They do not pay rent.
Drafts got a real setup flow: add players, edit, delete, preview the board. Day one was more of a vibe.
YOUR TURN emails now reach you. Previously they were reaching nobody, which is a very relaxed way to run a draft.
Reactions and comments moved onto the pick board, where the trash talk belongs.
DAY ONE
DRAFT WHATEVER GOES LIVE
Snake drafts for anything. Movies. Snacks. The correct order of the Fast & Furious films (there is one, and you are wrong about it).
Invite friends, edit your profile, and change your password like the responsible adult you are pretending to be.
A draft now needs at least two people. Drafting alone was less a game and more a cry for help.
A unicorn now celebrates every draft start. Nobody asked for this. Everybody needed it.
