NBA Regular Season - Battle Royale
10d ago · OK - Here we go. How it works Each manager drafts NBA teams and players before opening night, then scores points all season from playoff seeding, the NBA Cup, and the league's regular-season awards. Most points when the awards are announced in May wins. • Teams score on their final playoff seed in their conference (after the play-in) and in the NBA Cup. (#1 seed earns 8 points, #2 seed earns 7 points, etc.) • Players score on All-NBA, All-Defense, MVP, DPOY, Rookie of the Year and All-Star selections. • Playoff results don't count. This is a regular-season league. • The commissioner keeps the tracker spreadsheet and posts standings after each announcement. The draft One snake draft, 9 rounds, teams and players in the same pool. Every manager must choose exactly 4 teams and 5 players, picked in any order. You may trade players or teams during the season. Just use this website to create a trade. Six managers, 54 picks total: 24 of the 30 teams and 30 players get drafted. Scoring About 75 points are available from teams and about 115 from players, so an average pick is worth roughly the same either way. Category Points Playoff seeds (inverse order - #1 seed earns 8 points, #8 seed earns 1 point) Seed 9 or lower earns zero points. NBA Cup champion earns 2 points. NBA Cup runner up earns 1 point. All-NBA 1st / 2nd / 3rd team 6 / 4 / 2 pts, respectively MVP (on top of All-NBA): +3 bonus points All-Defense 1st team earns 3 points. All-Defense 2nd team earns 1 point. Defensive Player of the Year (on top of All-Defense): +2 bonus points. Rookie of the Year - 3 points All-Star selection - 1 point (everyone voted into the game or playing in the game as an alternate gets a point) All-Star MVP - 3 points A player scores in every category he earns. The ceiling is 18: MVP, DPOY, 1st-team All-NBA, 1st-team All-Defense, All-Star MVP, and an All-Star nod. Fine print • Trades: points follow the player. If your player is traded mid-season, you keep him and his awards. • 65-game rule: the NBA requires 65 games played for All-NBA, All-Defense, MVP and DPOY. If your guy misses it, he scores nothing there. That's part of the game. • All-Stars: anyone officially named to the All-Star roster counts, including injury replacements. • Seeds: final seeds after the play-in. Each conference has its own 1–8, so both #1 seeds get 8. • NBA Cup: only the champion and runner-up score. The Cup final is in December, so those points land early. • Ties: most team points wins. Still tied: whoever owns the highest-scoring single player. • Disputes: the commissioner decides. Official NBA announcements are the only source.
